【摘要】:1ScopeofEN1998(1)PEN1998appliestothedesignandconstructionofbuildingsandcivilengineeringworksinseismicregions.Itspurposeistoensurethatintheeventofearthquakes:-humanlivesareprotected;-damageislimited;and-structuresimportantforcivilprotectionremainoperational.NOTETherandomnatureoftheseismiceventsandthelimitedresourcesavailabletocountertheireffectsaresuchastomaketheattainmentofthesegoalsonlypartiallypossibleandonlymeasurableinprobabilisticterms.Theextentoftheprotectionthatcanbeprovidedtodifferentcategoriesofbuildings,whichisonlymeasurableinprobabilisticterms,isamatterofoptimalallocationofresourcesandisthereforeexpectedtovaryfromcountrytocountry,dependingontherelativeimportanceoftheseismicriskwithrespecttorisksofotheroriginandontheglobaleconomicresources.(2)PSpecialstructures,suchasnuclearpowerplants,offshorestructuresandlargedams,arebeyondthescopeofEN1998.(3)PEN1998containsonlythoseprovisionsthat,inadditiontotheprovisionsoftheotherrelevantEurocodes,mustbeobservedforthedesignofstructuresinseismicregions.ItcomplementsinthisrespecttheotherEurocodes.(4)EN1998issubdividedintovariousseparateParts(see1.1.2and1.1.3).2ScopeofEN1998-1(1)EN1998-1appliestothedesignofbuildingsandcivilengineeringworksinseismicregions.Itissubdividedin10Sections,someofwhicharespecificallydevotedtothedesignofbuildings.(2)Section2ofEN1998-1containsthebasicperformancerequirementsandcompliancecriteriaapplicabletobuildingsandcivilengineeringworksinseismicregions.(3)Section3ofEN1998-1givestherulesfortherepresentationofseismicactionsandfortheircombinationwithotheractions.Certaintypesofstructures,dealtwithinEN1998-2toEN1998-6,needcomplementingruleswhicharegiveninthoseParts.(4)Section4ofEN1998-1containsgeneraldesignrulesrelevantspecificallytobuildings.(5)Sections5to9ofEN1998-1containspecificrulesforvariousstructuralmaterialsandelements,relevantspecificallytobuildingsasfollows:-Section5:Specificrulesforconcretebuildings;-Section6:Specificrulesforsteelbuildings;-Section7:Specificrulesforcompositesteel-concretebuildings;-Section8:Specificrulesfortimberbuildings;-Section9:Specificrulesformasonrybuildings.(6)Section10containsthefundamentalrequirementsandotherrelevantaspectsofdesignandsafetyrelatedtobaseisolationofstructuresandspecificallytobaseisolationofbuildings.NOTESpecificrulesforisolationofbridgesaredevelopedinEN1998-2.(7)AnnexCcontainsadditionalelementsrelatedtothedesignofslabreinforcementinsteel-concretecompositebeamsatbeam-columnjointsofmomentframes.NOTEInformativeAnnexAandinformativeAnnexBcontainadditionalelementsrelatedtotheelasticdisplacementresponsespectrumandtotargetdisplacementforpushoveranalysis.3FurtherPartsofEN1998(1)PFurtherPartsofEN1998include,inadditiontoEN1998-1,thefollowing:-EN1998-2containsspecificprovisionsrelevanttobridges;-EN1998-3containsprovisionsfortheseismicassessmentandretrofittingofexistingbuildings;-EN1998-4containsspecificprovisionsrelevanttosilos,tanksandpipelines;-EN1998-5containsspecificprovisionsrelevanttofoundations,retainingstructuresandgeotechnicalaspects;-EN1998-6containsspecificprovisionsrelevanttotowers,mastsandchimneys.
