【摘要】:ThemeasuredmeanbulkdensityofacoalstockpileisusedwithameasurementofthestockpilevolumeperTestMethodD6172.Procedurestodeterminethequantityofstockpiledcoal.Thismeasureofquantityisoftenusedasareferencevalueforadjustinginventoryrecords.1.1Thistestmethodcoversproceduresfordeterminingthebulkdensityofcoalusinginstrumentationthatmeasurestherelativebackscatterofnucleargammaradiationthroughoutthedepthofthestockpileundertest.1.2Thisprocedureisapplicabletoallranksofcoal.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents:therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentoftheother.Withinthetext,SIunitsareshowninbrackets.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Theequipmentusesradioactivematerials,whichmaybehazardoustothehealthofusers,unlessproperprecautionsaretaken.
